Goldfinger

I thought this movie was okay. There was a lot of action in it but im not really used to old James Bond films. Im used to the hi-tech, action-packed James Bond.
In the movie, Bond goes against a gold smuggler along with his companion, Oddjob. Oddjob is an "invincible" bodyguard and it adds the hype in this movie. All the characters in the movie did great in the movie. I liked the storyline and the fighting in the movie was good. One thing i really thought was stupid when the gas was sprayed at the bank area, the soldiers acting was so fake. When they dropped dead, it looked really fake and i got a laugh out of that. One other thing was the song played at the beginning and the end. It was a horrible song and I'll end this blog with.."HE LOVESSSSS GOLDDDDDD"

The Chubbchubbs !

This is a cute animated short film about a lowly janitor that is in love with singing and dancing. He is a janitor to a bar and he always sings to an alien Aretha Franklin. When singing and dancing to the song, something always goes wrong and one time, he spills his mop on water, and fries Aretha. He gets kicked out of the bar and he notices danger from a distance and tries to warn the people at the bar. He suspects the ChubbsChubbs are coming. Chubbschubbs are threatening and vicious creatures. There were poor cute "birds" with him so he stayed with them. When the janitor is confronted by these vicious looking creatures, he does the only thing he can do. He danced and sang for them and the creatures started to dance with them. Not knowing what those cute animals were, the birds turned into vicious creatures and ripped the other monsters into pieces. After all that, the chubbschubbs turn back into their cute look.
I thought this short film was really clever and I liked it a lot. The ending was hilarious and it was not expected. It was a wonderful film.

Spirited Away

First, I love animation movies so obviously I loved this movie. I love how the animations are made especially in this movie. In this movie, the animations are not computerized. Every single picture in this movie was made by drawing on a paper. That really amazed me and it really shows how much work they went through to make this amazing movie.
This movie is enchanting. Its about a little girl who enters a magical spirit world. She encounters witches, gods, and weird monsters. Her parents gets turned into pigs and she has to work with these spirits and save her parents. She goes on many adventures and meets many new "spirit" friends a long the way.
As a fan of animation movies, I thought this movie was terrific. I can watch this movie without ever getting bored of it. This movie was really exciting from beginning to end.

Do the Right Thing

This movie depicts racism in a brilliant way. This movie was really well made. It is a comedy, drama and racist relations. It showed a lot of stuff in one movie.
The movie is set on a really hot summer day on a street in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn. This was a African American neighborhood. Tension breaks out in this little neighborhood and everyone starts fighting. In this neighborhood, there are three different races. There are Italians who owns the pizzeria where the blacks would eat at. There are Asians who own the grocery store but they are not really in the story. They don't really get into the fight and obviously, the blacks who are the majority of the neighborhood. They get into problems with Italians in the pizzeria and a fight erupts.
Besides the racist aspect, there is a lot of comedy in this movie. From the conversation the three man sitting out in the sun are having to the jokes the characters randomly make, they are laugh-out-loud funny.

Maestro

This short film was 5 minutes. It was really short but it was a great short film. It was really well made and it was hilarious.
In this short film, a singing bird is in a dressing room while a mechanical arm is helping the bird get ready for a performance.
The camera is going around 360 degrees in the little room so we can see whats going on in all angles. This also contributed to the ending when the bird is actually a cuckoo clock.
This was a really nice short film and I definitely recommend this 5 minute short film.

Personally, I didn't like this movie at all. I don't like to watch old movies. It didn't really appeal to me. The movie was in German and I didn't want to read subtitles. It was all black and white which bored me. There was barely any music. I can see why it is considered a "classic" though. The movie was made back in 1931. Most of the movies back then was all the same. No one tried anything unusual but in this movie, it was different. This movie is shot more like a modern film than an old film. That techniques are like more advanced such as the use of sounds and the black and white to contribute to the theme of the movie.
The movie is about a child murderer on the loose. The German police is trying to catch him but they have a hard time. Other criminals join to catch the child murderer.
I would recommend this movie to people who likes to watch old classics and crime movies.

Witness

'Witness' wasn't that great of a movie but it was interesting to watch. There was suspense, a romance story, and a lot of action. Its the kind of movie that will make you keep watching until it is done.
The movie is about an Amish boy who witnesses a murder so John Book(a detective) has to use him as a witness until the trial. The murderers are part of the police department so later on, they find out about the Amish boy. When John Book finds this out, he takes the boy and his mother back to their Amish country to hide until the trial. From there, John Book bonds with the Amish people and learn a lot of things. The murderers eventually finds out where John Book is hiding and the rest you'll have to watch and find out...

I don't usually like any of those 1980-1990s movies but this one was okay for me. It was a good crime/action movie. It had a nice storyline and all the characters played their roles good.


One of the memorable scenes i remembered in this movie was the murder scene. It was filmed really well. The directors really worked hard to make the scene really suspenseful.

Six Shooter

Six Shooter is a dark comedy short film. I thought the movie was alright. It wasn't great but it was definitely fun to watch.
Its about a train journey with a young psychotic kid and an old man, whose wife died earlier that day. The kid is crazy and he curses way too many times but it contributes to the film. If it wasn't for the cursing and his Irish accent, the film wouldn't be so great. The kid eventually goes berserk and ends up dieing in the end. The storyline was straight to the point but there were many interesting scenes that make the film exciting to watch.
The film was funny especially the part where the cow blows up. Overall, the whole film was humorous with a dark twist in it. It was something where you shouldn't be laughing at but you do anyways. I definitely recommend this short film because it provides a really interesting story.

Our Time Is Up

A really well made short film. The film was humorous and at the same time, it teaches a very important lesson. It teaches you to live life to the fullest.
Dr. Leonard Stern, was a normal therapist who did what he had to do. He gave his patients tips and advices on their problems but they never really helped them. His days are pretty uniform. He wakes up the same way and does almost the same thing everyday. One day, Dr. Stern finds out that he only has six weeks to live, he changes the way he acts and lives. He finds a new way to deal with the patients. He began to be more honest and brutal towards them and those tips actually worked.
The film was laugh-out-loud funny as well. The performances from all the characters were great.
For a 14 minute short film, it was really good and i recommend this film to everyone.
