I watched this the night when it came out. I was so hyped to watch this for a couple of months. I couldn't wait to see this movie and I had a big feeling that this movie was going to be a huge hit. I was right. This movie is easily one of my favorite movies of all time. This movie kept me interested and thrilled the whole time I was watching.
Will Smith shows how talented of an actor he is. His performance is A++. Even though, there is only one star in the movie, Will Smith did an amazing job to play this role. He played a solid and believable performance. The setting in this film is also amazing. I love how they changed New York City into a zombie jungle.
The story in this movie was also terrific. It kept me wanting to know what happens next but the only thing that was not as good was the ending. It ended so suddenly and it kind of ruins the whole movie. It was at a climax but it ended so suddenly. The effects in the movie was terrific as well. This movie was amazing. Everything in this movie worked out great. The acting, the camera work, the story, the setting.. this was one great movie. I definitely recommend this movie to anyone.

Primal Fear

This movie was flawless. I really love this movie. When I finish watching this move in film class. That same night, I went home to re-watch it because it was so good and interesting. The thing that made this movie was the plot and the acting. The acting was flawless. Richard Gere delivers a flawless performance but what really makes this movie is the acting from Edward Norton.
Come to think of it, Edward Norton's performance was the main reason I wanted to watch this movie again on the same day. This movie kept me guessing. I did not know what to expect and thats what I love about this movie. Was he guilty? Was he innocent? It just kept me guessing. There no clues that made me strongly agree with any side. Till the very end of the movie, I was still guessing if he was innocent or guilty.
I love the twist in the movie. I am amazed by Edward Norton's performance in this movie. At the end, everyone expects it to be a happy ending where they find the kid ill and he will get help from the hospital but it completely changes. The final scene changes so fast in such a short amount of time. It leaves you with a 'wow, that is nice feeling' and then it quickly changes to, 'WOW, that did not just happen' feeling. That last scene really stands out to me. This movie was an outstanding psychological thriller. One of my favorite movies of all times.

THIS MOVIE IS AMAZINGGGG!!! I really loved this movie and it's another foreign film. I like the style in foreign film. It is different from American film and I like it. I am completely amazed by how good this film from Italy is. The acting, the camera work, the plot..everything was great. It was more than great actually, it was perfect. This was one of the movies that i stayed up and watched. I did not bother to do any other work even if i had to and I did not sleep even if I was extremely sleepy.
Cinema Paradiso is about a man finding out someone important in his life passed away which forces him to relive his life. We watch as Toto grows up and we live his childhood as he lives it.
I did not want this movie to end at all. This movie shows the 'magic' of cinema. This movie was romantic while the music contributes a lot into it. Everything in this movie just swept me away. This movie really shows the love for cinema and it was perfect for my art of film class. This movie is a powerful work of art. This movie is a masterpiece.

The Searchers

I don't usually watch western movies but I thought this movie was okay, at best. I don't really enjoy this kind of genre but the framing, camera work, and acting made the movie the way it is. I think the best part of the movie was the framing. The way the director, John Ford, used the camera to frame the scenes was stupendous. The movie was displayed perfectly.
Although the camera work was amazing, I did not like the plot in the movie. I didn't think it was that interesting and to be honest, I fell asleep on some of the parts in the movie.
The acting by John Wayne made the movie as well. He did a tremendous job acting in the movie.
Overall, I didn't really like this movie just because it doesn't fit my style. What I liked the most in this movie was the camera work and acting.

A Christmas Story

This movie wasn't so good. I didn't really like it. Not going to lie, but i fell asleep on some parts of the movie. The movie did not entertain me. The story didn't really have a meaning and I guess it was just a plan Christmas story. There was nothing exciting but I guess there were a few funny scenes that made me chuckle. For example, when the bully kept laughing. LOL. That was greatttt.
This movie was good for the Christmas season but as for being a movie, I don't think it was any good. I am pretty disappointed in this film because it didn't have a lot of Christmas spirit in it. The Santa and the elves at the mall had a mean and evil attitude and face. It didn't really capture what Christmas is really about. Christmas is about joy and fun. This movie did not show that. Overall, I did not like this film at all.

Run Lola Run

I enjoyed this foreign film. This movie was in German and I have never watched a German film before. It is definitely different in style and I really liked it.
At first, I thought this movie was going to be about a soccer game or whatnot because of the introduction but it wasn't. I liked the way the director, Tom Tykwer, added a cartoon Lola and a real Lola. It definitely made it more interesting and it sped things up. I also liked the story to the movie. The movie was just the same repeating scene but Lola just does something slightly different but it changes everything. It shows that even though you do something different, even in that fraction of a second, someone's life can completely change because of it. I loved how he did that and it just made the entire movie so good. I loved all the various twists and turns in this movie and it kept me entertained and interested in this movie. This movie was very unique in style and I loved watching this movie.

American Beauty

This movie is genius. I really loved this movie. This movie is completely different from all of the other Hollywood movies. There is no good side or bad side. I can watch this movie so many times and not get bored of it. The movie is brilliantly made. This movie is definitely original and unlike any other movie out there. It might have a confusing story to it, but when you understand it, it makes the movie so good.
The movie begins by the narrator telling you that the main character is going to die and it goes on from there. All the scenes in the movie was made really well and the actors just did a magnificent job acting in all of these scenes. Kevin Spacey (Lester) and Annette Bening (Caroline) give amazing performances. Also, all of the minor characters gave amazing performances.
This movie is easily one of my top favorite movies of all time and will stay up there. This movie is beautiful, complex, and extremely interesting. Every time you watch this movie, you will definitely learn something new. There is so much detail in this movie and events happening. The movie is so many things and it is just a rare and outstanding film. Definitely worth the watch.

Rushmore

Handjob. A phrase used many times in the movie, Rushmore, by Director Wes Anderson. This phrase along with many others demonstrates how unique this film is compared to the other Hollywood comedy. This movie is unique in style and originality compared to other comedies. The words and acting from the characters played a major role in the movie. If you want to watch a movie that is different and original, tis is the perfect movie to watch.
Rushmore is about a unique teenager that goes to Rushmore high, a private high school. Hi name is Max Fischer(Jason Schwartzman) and he has many talents. He is in almost all of the clubs in his school. He can be a director to a fencer to a wrestler. He does so many talents but he cant seem to find one that he really enjoys. The only thing he enjoys is going to Rushmore High. Even though he has so many talents, education and school is not one of his talents. He gets expelled from Rushmore High when he was failing school. While at Rushmore High, he falls in love with Ms. Cross(Olivia Williams), a first grade teacher. Max tries to get with the first grade teacher but Ms. Cross does not feel the same way. Max's friend, Herman Blume (Bill Murray) is like a mentor to Max. Herman helps him through the movie in many ways but Herman also falls in love with Ms. Cross and this becomes a love war between the two guys.
All the characters played their roles really well. Max Fischer played by Jason Schwartzman did an extraordinary job at the unique high school teenager who has so many talents. He did a tremendous acting job by showing how his enthusiasm and dedication can be very meaningful. He, by himself, wakes up an entire public high school and makes a terrific play. He had a lot of great lines in the movie that made the movie really funny. Herman Blume played by Bill Murray was great also. He was funny in an original way. It was different and unique. He didn't make us laugh because of punch lines. It was the way he acted that made it so funny. Ms Cross played by Olivia Williams also did a good job on her role. Every major character and minor character did a great job on their roles. Even the Irish teenager that went to Rushmore High who was in 5 minutes of the movie, made me laugh out loud.
This movie is funny in its own unique way which makes the movie so good and amazing. There are many clever and original shots in the movie and I appreciated all of them. All the actors were great and played their role really well. The storyline was original and unique. The music and sound played a major role in the movie and how humorous it was. This movie is very unique and I definitely recomment it to everyone out there who wants to have a good time.

Chungking Express

I loved this movie because it's so action-packed. Despite the reason that I could understand the movie without subtitles because I am cantonese and I always watched that kind of style of movies, I thought that movie was really well made.
The plot in this moving is a little strange though. There is two story about two cops and their love lives. It didn't really make sense to switch to another story right after the other one ended. It is the thrill and enjoyment of the movie that makes it so good. The movie is constantly thrilling.
The camera work is fantastic in the movie. The way they used the camera really captured the moment. Like when there was a chase scene, they would make it more slow motion like so you can almost like feel it. Also, the actors were great. It looked like they weren't even using any scripts and they were just doing something. Every scene in this movie was absolutely amazing and it was a pleasure to watch this movie. The ending might be a little confusing because it's unlike an American film with an ending but since I always watch Hong Kong movies at home, I thought the ending was great. The whole movie was done really well and is definitely worth watching.

Elephant

I thought this movie was directed really well. There wasn't a lot of editing. It looks like a movie that was made in a really low budget and there was also no known actors in the movie. All the actors were unknown high school kids but the movie turned out great.
This movie isn't for entertainment. I admit i fell asleep a couple times because most of the movie was kids walking around in the halls of the school. When I finished the movie, I realized why they needed all of the scenes in the movie.
I loved the point of views from a lot of the character. We knew from the beginning what was going to happen but Gus Van Sant made it a lot more interesting. He used camera work to look into what every character was doing that day. It's true that there might be no story in most of the movie but it all leaded to the ending.
I thought that the ending wasn't that good. Even though, the ending was when it really got interesting, I don't think it should have ended the way it did. Everything was getting so interesting and "utterly disturbing" and the movie just stops. Besides that and the boredom in most of the movie, I think this movie is really worth watching. It teaches you something about what can and did happen to some schools.
